Jesus Walks With Me
Jesus I need thee in my life
to help me conquer fear,
I feel warm and wanted
when I feel you ever near.
I struggle to forgive those
that hurt me in the past,
yesterday is my forever
of relationships that don't last.
It is hard to let go
of all that I went through,
the past is but a memory
of those that were not true.
I am walking by your side
no matter what is said,
Jesus, take my sorrow
and give me peace instead.
I know that I'm not alone
and forgiveness is your way,
I will follow your example
and let go of yesterday.
The times I spend with you
are precious and true,
I know that you are with me
no matter what I fall into.
Temptation is always there
and I know you're on my side,
even when I slipped and fell
you wiped the tears I cried.
