Poetic Verses
All That She Had
Jesus sat by the treasury
and beheld what was put there,
the rich cast in much money
and of this He was aware.
There came a poor widow
who threw in two mites,
that which makes a farthing
took her to greater heights.
Jesus called to His disciples
and made them then aware,
that a certain poor widow
put in more than her share.
For the rich cast in abundantly
while the poor widow in her giving,
cast in all the money she had
which was her entire living.
Blessed is she that gives
even though she is poor,
while the rich gives abundantly
in reality she gives more.
