Saved by a Friend
It was the sweetest moment
when you became my friend,
I was usually the one left out
but you brought that to an end.
You introduced me to others
and helped me to fit in,
once alone among the shadows
where temptation leads to sin.
You were like my Angel guide
that cautioned me, beware!
when I was using the internet
and chatting with anybody there.
You opened up the shades
where gloom would once destroy,
you helped me to see the light
and brought me so much joy.
In my life you were the one
that came to me with care,
I am thankful for the blessings
and for the answers to my prayer.
