Saved by God's Love
A little dark rain cloud
floated above my head,
I was in deep despair
with feelings of pure dread.
I shuddered at the sound
of a loud distant thunder,
in my weary state of mind
I felt like I was going under.
While empty tears fell
down my reddened face,
I ran from the unseen
with an unsteady pace.
I tripped over a rock
and fell to my knees,
I prayed with all heart,
"Help me God, please."
I didn't know what to do
about the pain I felt inside,
I was lost among the trees
until He became my guide.
He helped me find my way
and comforted my tears,
His love brought me home
and He took away my fears.
Back where I should be
with faith that I could feel,
I became a happy person
and I knew His love was real.
