Far from home he knew of Blue skies
Blue as her eyes where he now resides
Watching her closely for he came to be
With her that he loves eternally
Distanced himself to cause her no fear
Protecting a soul he so endears
For wings he would give just to return
To be near to, to be loved and to learn
Mesmerized by her face he strokes fast asleep
Waking not what he loves on Earth what he keeps
For Angel was he but gave up what he earned
When GOD gave him wings not her to discern
Pleading his case heard by Heavens court
Argued for love his heart bravely fought
When gavel was pounded, his wishes were given
Back to Earth without her, without her he's now living
Become mortal man to live out his days
Forever now present, upon soul his dismayed
You see he'd return but not have her
His wish although given, only look not disturb
Spends now his days being close to the one
Granted eternal his walk now becomes
Only to watch but not to have
Her he desires sadly her GOD now has
