Return To You
Return to you who made it so
To live without, to let her go
For it's your wish and not of mine
You've made your point, now have my time
I'll write all that you ask of me
Forget my heart so you can be
First, not last in everything
Today my soul will ask for a few things
Strip away my carnal cravings
Stifle thoughts of mine depraving
Every sense of urgency
Of heart and soul that needs to feed
Bring me to a place of rest
What pains and grows with care no less
For eyes mine see what I can't have
Blind me so I'll not feel bad
Destroy this gift of feelings too
For of no good, me they don't soothe
The savage beast that once was man
The one you saved, the one still damned
Promise I will to not look back
You see the years upon me hacked
Away at us who knew not you
Proof of this you still held to
Burn if need where deadwood thrives
Inside of us where all but lies
Would have their way but now today
Accept I must of love always
Cut away and mold anew
Each broken piece with breath you drew
From Earth as you gave Adam life
The gift of Eve to love as wife
I cannot box with you oh Lord
Our arms are short and can't afford
To lose you too, refuge my strength
Make clear for me what in me faints
Die I will for you made me
To live and breathe loves ecstasy
Where feelings once were mine now yours
Become my past, darkness endured
