A Single Day and Night
When the day met the night,
a dream of when they'd mingle,
as with day and night
they are both single.
Day in and day out
the night wanted to meet its match,
they were never together,
the day was too quick to catch.
They never actually met,
a passing they would share,
the day would leave
as the night got there.
Day and night together
it just cannot be,
they are passing friends
on this they do agree.
