There For Me
When I was dealing with fear
you were there to hold my hand,
when I didn't have the answers
you helped me to understand.
When I lost my way and fell
you were there to pick me up,
when I was hurt and lonely
you came by with a "Wassup?"
When I had low self esteem
you helped me feel some pride,
when I couldn't stand up for myself
you stood there by my side.
When I didn't have the words
you covered up my silence
when I was being badly abused
you saved me from the violence.
When I struggled with my life
for me you were always there,
you have made a difference
in a life that needs some care.
