Place of Fear

You've opened the door to lots of fear
an attack of thoughts live inside,
anxiety and paranoia are here,
haunted memories also reside.

If I were you I'd turn and run
and shut the door without a slam,
peace and calm are hard to find
when I don't know who I am.

A troubled mind echoes in the halls,
in the living room a startled scream,
inside of nightmares past and present
a place of horror inside a dream.

In the kitchen what a scare,
I pace with thought up worry,
in the bathroom drips schizophrenia,
I'd leave this place in a hurry.
