Deceptive Friend
There was an extra seat taken
as we sat talking to each other,
a friend of mine was sitting there
saying bad things about another.
She managed to start conversation
stabbing another friend in the back,
I just nodded in response
without adding to her attack.
It made me wonder what she'd say
about me when I'm not there,
her words were all so negative
as she leaned forward in her chair.
Deception was sitting across from us
with dishonest words to say,
putting down her other friends
made us want to walk away.
She just kept on talking trash
and she was not a true friend,
her ways of betraying others
would haunt her in the end.
