Poetic Verses
Involuntary Blink
I'll forever blink my eyes
in the darkness of my room,
as I sit here in silence
I face neurological doom.
An imbalanced chemical
in the front of my brain,
I am blinking constantly
and feeling so much pain.
This involuntary movement
that I really cannot stop,
I am afraid if it continues
my eyelids might pop.
I try hard to suppress it
by closing both my eyes,
holding it as tight as I can,
it comes as no surprise.
I have to let myself go
though it bothers me now,
like a really bad itch
I have to free it somehow.
My case of Tourette Syndrome,
is a blink of pure hope,
my eyes may keep fluttering
but I know that I can cope.
in the darkness of my room,
as I sit here in silence
I face neurological doom.
An imbalanced chemical
in the front of my brain,
I am blinking constantly
and feeling so much pain.
This involuntary movement
that I really cannot stop,
I am afraid if it continues
my eyelids might pop.
I try hard to suppress it
by closing both my eyes,
holding it as tight as I can,
it comes as no surprise.
I have to let myself go
though it bothers me now,
like a really bad itch
I have to free it somehow.
My case of Tourette Syndrome,
is a blink of pure hope,
my eyes may keep fluttering
but I know that I can cope.
