Super Glue Tears
When I left the house, the SOLD
Sign bright as bold
I took some trinkets
Memories to keep
And hold
One such thing was a goose
A small china door stop
Which by accident I did drop
And its head became loose
It was not just a memory
Of my house and home
But of you, my mummy
But now I'm alone
In my new place I used the headless
Goose doorstop as you once did
Headless it might be, but it's priceless
Reminding me of when I was a kid
Today I got some super glue
And place the head back on
The glue ran down it's face
Like tears to a favourite song
Now it stands, crack an all
Of you, so brave, so cool
A broken goose, now a mend
And memories, that will never end.
