BLAME IT ON YOUR PHONE

Stumbling, mumbling prayers of self pity.
Peering at tracking device,
Searching for solace in a forgotten number,
Pressing buttons uncaringly with no thought for others
Only self pitied righteousness.

Swearing into dead space "I'm right, of course I'm right".
Studying wreckage of past life
Remembered in a forgotten number,
Scolding tracking device,
Message found lost in drafts, plastic technology.
Drop it into a big uncaring city sewer.
Can only wonder where it's going.
Don't care, won't have to share.

Stumble onwards into dead space.
Blaming phone and  thinking of a message once sent.
Damning you, declaring in your mind 'the phone is the fault'.
No blame, no shame when you can  cover your tracks.
Simply drop the device,
Wander onwards into a nowhere life.
