First they came for my muslim neighbor, because they thought he was a terrorist, and I did not speak up because I was not muslim. Then they came for my Russian neighbor, because they thought he was conspiring with terrorists, and I did not speak up. I was not Russian. Then they came for my red-neck friend because he owned a gun that might be used by terrorists, and I did not speak up. I wasn't a gun owner. Then they came for the couple down the street because they went to a PEACE rally. They said that they were against the war on terrorism which the newspapers said was a crime against America. I didn't speak up because I didn't think peace was important. Then they came for the lady next door, they said she was a witch. I had no clue what that had to do with terrorism. So I did not speak up. Then they arrested my gay friend because he slept with one of my neighbor's, arrested for terrorism. I did not speak up because I was not gay and the government is protecting me. Then I was surfing the net and a pop-up window said that the govenment was abusing the power it was given and taking away people's rights, covering the abuse with news of captures of terrorist so that the American people wouldn't challenge them. Those that did would be made into enemies of America and not be heard from again, or at the very least had their lives destroyed in the name of the war on terrorism. Welcome to Nazi America. For reading the pop up window, they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.
