Inside Fear

I hear the door knob rattling
I realize it's just the wind,
It still gives me the creeps
like someone's trying to get in.

All the sounds around me
are giving me a scare,
especially since I'm home alone
and not completely there.

I am just so tired
I need to get some rest,
feeling cold with goosebumps
I don't mean to be a pest.

Like a ghost hovering above
following my lead,
it is something I can't see
but the feeling's there indeed.

I want the thoughts to go away
along with the voices and fear
why would anybody watch me?
when they don't belong here.
