Keep Faith Above Fear
Jesus sent away the multitudes
and went aboard a ship that day,
afloat to land on the other side
when a mighty storm got in the way.
The waves beat into their ship
while Jesus was sleeping near,
He was there among the others
and became aware of those in fear.
Jesus arose and rebuked the wind
telling the sea "Peace, be still,"
the wind ceased and it was calm
while the others had a fearful chill.
"Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?"
Jesus asked them in a thoughtful way,
while the crew wondered what manner of man
had caused the wind and sea to obey.
