Beware of the Heat
There is a great concern in many states and this is for sure
It is that the elderly will be exposed and may succumb to the heat once more
One can hear of reports all across some states that the temperatures have increase
And there has been reports that some elderly people are now deceased
Perhaps a factor may be that plight cause by the present recession
That perhaps there was no money to purchase any cooling system
Even if there were some fans, these may soon prove ineffectual
And the wind dispensed may be used to transport heat by a route that is convectional
What about we the people. Are we not making some form of contribution
We readily use agent that are having a depleting effect on the layer of ozone
So those ultra violet rays not deflected are now getting much closer
Resulting in severe skin burns and to others some form of skin cancer.
Yes the green house gases quantity, is increasing so rapidly
This is also a great contributor to the heat intensity and severity
As we destroy trees hat use carbon dioxide, for that photosynthetic reaction
This process also gives off oxygen an important gas to the life of man
What about our industries that expel acid gases into the atmosphere
Form acids in the presence of moisture and when they dissolve in rain
These acids pollute our waters, killing plants and one can see the reaction
There is blackening of some buildings and even some form of corrosion.
Let us all look at those happening earlier in the year, those tragedies
As in a short time places were hit by earthquakes quite mercilessly
Other were fortunate as they only got some minor tremors
Perhaps we must examine our doing and become lesser contributors.
