The Last Knight
Broken vows became of her who once loved
Drunkards and liars had their fill and cared not for sentiment
She learned quickly of false promises and deceit
Her innocence was the sum of all things
These once Dragon slayers more talk than truth
Brought Hell's fire that ravaged her soul
Careless they held her heart prisoner and hid the key
When would her Knight in shining armor bring an end to her misery
She sought love but chivalry and faithfulness were not to be had
Hers was a dying breed and the trees of the forest wept for her
Sadly years of enchantment were not to be had but then came
The Last Knight
She'd peer from Castle Keep many a day and sought her love
past her solitude, ever hoping, forever crying
Swords would come to clash at the gates where moat filled of
those fallen by his will to have her and so he came
and fought past years of searching for his princess
Storming past bridge he would meet her torment and plunge his
blade into the heart of her abuser
The sparks of his blade would bring light and free the woman he came for
never to forsake her in darkness
He kneels before beauty and rises to embrace her with love she's never known
His vow, this night, The Last Knight
