Just Outside Heavens Door
The long road taken, our song of destiny
my heart's need,
Heaven
Could it be me a sinner would rate entry?
Oh but my trials to get here were many
and I longed for peace and her
What price payed to live again
My heart renewed as I pressed my ear
against the door to joy and fulfillment
and her scent that came from within
Love took on a new meaning and the voice
of an Angel called to me in harmony
telling me, no need to knock but
to just enter
The feeling of loneliness peeled off shoulders
relieving me of life's burdens and I felt whole
and loved, I had finally arrived where I was
destined to be, with her in me just outside
Heavens door
A much longed for beginning was to be had
all because she would make it so easy
to breathe again
Just outside Heaven's door, in an Angels arms
where we were meant to be
