I've seen death
And been to where

Without a body
It would make you
Weep with Divine ecstasy,
But nothing beats
Being here
With you now.
I am aware
Of the limited
Ticking of my heart,
And that
This place,
This planet,
These experiences
Will never be again
As they are now
Here,
With Us,
All together.
I want to devour
Your presence
While we both live,
So I crave you
Like a meal prepared
Lovingly by my
Beloved, a meal
That has been planned,
In the making
For a billion years
For this day,
Today with you…
And I want to savor
Every loving thought
That went into every
Aspect of this meal,
The flesh of your skin,
The perfume of your soul,
The wine of your tears
& sweat,
the bread hand made
with leaven of our love,
the Fresh Berries picked moments
before they were brought
to us,
so I could place them
in your mouth,
while our attendants
on this day,
all the inhabitants
of this entire world,
could make music,
and art
and strife,
to make our lives
as they are
in this moment now
with you…
Before this
I waited to consume
This moment…
Because eternity
Rested upon it…
I am hungry for LIFE…
So now you know
Why Beloved,
I go through my days
At such a pace,
Because I waste not,
Each moment
Of the Now…
Is the banquet
The Divine spent
A billion years
Making for us
To savor & enjoy.
