VALUE

~** VALUE **~

When we`re trying to aim that famous dart
In the hope of capturing someone`s heart,
We are doing this in order to acquire
Something we value, love and admire.

The more elusive that someone seems
`We must have them our brain screams`
We simply can`t get them out of our mind
And a way to have them we will find.

The same goes for an object of desire
This is something else we must acquire,
By hook or by crook we always find a way
And it will be ours by the end of the day.

Now heed this warning I write to you
For what I say you will find is true,
I don`t want to ruin your day
I`d like you to read this and say touché.

Once you possess what you desired
Your perception of value has expired
It diminished immediately you acquired
The very thing that you admired.
