Poetry For Everyday People

It'll Be Alright

Perfection
was last nights kiss
before last nights phone call
right after lightning
gave candles the spot light
and romance was given
an honest chance,

I'll take the seed
over your dead flowers,
I'll trade you
what hurts you
for what hurts me
since what hurts you
doesn't hurt me,

I'll take the poem
and meet you
at the bar,

guitar shorty's
playing tonight.
