<> Hope <>

This poem is for the men and women
who have no place to go. Who have
to sleep in alley's on park benches
under bridges.Because of liquor
and drugs and other bad things
that happened to them Don't give up
there is hope. you are not alone
Jesus sees you and He is reaching out
his loving hand. He SAID COME UNTO ME

His heart within him is broken
his spirit is almost gone
He is lying in an ally
so far away from home
down trodden and alone.
The liquor there beside him
he thought his only friend
but in truth the enemy
bringing about his end.
A thought almost  a whisper
was going thought his head
get up on your feet now my son
don't lay there and be dead.
Reach out just a little
and I will take your hand.
I will mend that broken heart
and give you strength to stand.
The hand that took his hand
was the hand of love
in a ray of sunshine
straight from heaven above.
Then a though almost a whisper
was going through his head
listen to me and be wise
or you will be among the dead.
The liquor there beside you
is the devil in disguise.
Don't destroy what's left of you
to the devil and his kind
you have a chance now,my son
leave all the bad things behind.
The hand so gentle and kind
helped him slowly to his feet
but when he looked for his Savior
he stood alone on the street.
he made himself look down
at the place where he had been
Just a while ago his bed of sin.
then a thought almost a whisper
was going through his mind
you will make it now my son
just one simple step at a time.
The hand so gentle and kind
helped him down that filthy street
the liquor was left behind.
He knew the thought almost a whisper
was the voice of God above.
And the hand was God's hand
that reached down to him with love
and saved this broken man

The Bible Say's in ISAIAH-9-2
The people that walked in darkness
 have seen a great light;
they that dwell in the land of
the shadow of death,upon them
hath the light shined.
