God Gives Strength
Look up at the sky and see,
Who created all these things;
Think of what it means to me,
And for what that it all brings.
Who brings out all of the stars,
During the night one by one;
Picking them out of the drawers,
Putting back by morning sun.
God calls each one by a name,
For the greatness of His might;
And the strength for to proclaim,
Not one missing through the night.
So why do you rant and rave,
As you constantly complain;
Soon you will be in your grave,
When you will feel heat and pain.
You cannot hide from the Lord,
Without a secluded path;
So think not you are ignored,
Nor in being spared His wrath.
God gives strength when grown weary,
Increasing when you are weak;
Comforts you when things look dreary,
For those who have come to seek.
