A Purpose
I can not condemn you
Or judge you
Nor can I begin to understand
Your pain
Your suffering
Your wants
Or
Your needs
I know not
What brought you here
What you did
Yesterday
What you were like
Before
Or
Who you were then
I can stay here
If you wish
Offer you
A shoulder to cry on
An ear to bend
A hand up
If that is what you desire
Or I can simply walk away
Leave you here
As I found you
I am not a judge
A jury
And certainly not
An executioner
I am simply
Me
A single soul
Passing
I take nothing
Want nothing
For when I was in your place
I was blessed
And given more than most
Will ever be able to imagine
Something which I now wish to share
With you
A purpose
