Sitting here on the front porch
brings back golden memories of
sweet lemonade and finger sandwiches
served on warm lazy sunny days
but as I get up to resume my yard work
they all fade away and sadness creeps
in to replace the joy of those wonderful
days because my lifelong love is no longer
here with me and resides under the willow tree.
