Silence
So quiet, so still
life after you gives me chills
leaves me cold and lonely
leaves me confused and dazed
everything we shared now a distant cloudy memory
will it ever get any better?
all I know the picture isn't getting any clearer
silence rings around me
the leaves turn, the cold comes
Easter is almost here, but will I ever get to see the sun?
emptiness in my heart remains
silence is in place of all you gave me
leaving me to wonder how to go on
it feels wrong to move on
grief is still with me, draped over my heart
in my inner most thoughts is silence and you
this is what constantly tears me apart.
