From the Heart Through the Pen

Down On My Soul

Down on my soul she swoped
Saved from fire and debris
How lucky was me
For the world I was taken too
Never in a hundred years could I fathom
The love she had for me
Never in a billion years could I imagine

Was 20/20 till her beauty I saw
Even Lasik won't restore my sight anymore
Yet as long as she's by my side
My sleeves I no longer hide
I place for all to see
For all to know as much as I believe
God sent His Angel for me

Loving that serious look on her face
Though to see teeth it I'd gladly erase
Can you believe she inspired me
With what was worth a thousand words
Must be for old times' sake
Still lovin the fool outta me she makes
Yet for that smile I've gotta wait

Gladly till she tells me it's time
As long as it takes
Waiting for Alicia to say ready
I mean I'll do anything…I'll cope
Cause Lord knows I would be nothing
If it weren't for that moment
When down on my soul… she swoped
