 Then The Rain Came
Dry was the land where He reigned King
It was not always this way
For once upon a time she was there
Bringing life to him and his Kingdom

She tended to his every need
Drawing his bath, bathing him with her scent
Leaving always a trace of herself upon his skin

This brought peace to him, breathing Sandalwood and Rose
meant the world was his again for she made it so

Her time would pass as his fulfillment
For she would tire of his selfishness and leave
Leaving his pompous ways to him on her throne

She had spent her life dwelling on his coming
around only to have wasted precious years

and so the rain came flooding her every desire
as it too needed love like hers to drown itself in
not sparing a drop, ensuring her of it's intent
to keep what it dreamed of
