Exhort to Praise God
The Lord has just ended my search,
To find a builder for the church;
For I am the block and the brick,
With faith as mortar makes it stick.
But I am not just on my own,
Outcasts are also mortared stone;
For each of us becomes a part,
He even heals the broken heart.
Broken hearts and the bandaged wound,
Every one God has fine tuned;
Changing them from the battle scars,
To twinkle brightly like the stars.
For power of the Lord is great,
As it will lift any size weight;
Off the shoulders of any one,
Honoring the Father and Son.
No limit to what He understands,
Delighting as He commands;
To anyone who does not stray,
And more than willing to obey.
Make music unto our God,
Sing while you honor and laud;
For He is pleased with those who fear,
Having hope His mercy is near.
