Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Staring At Liberty's Face
Every time I look upon Liberty's immortal,
graceful, beautifully chiseled warm face,
its mesmerizing look wipes the tears from my eyes,
washes the pain from my soul and clears my heart
of its taunting misery and terrible strife,
leading me to strive for all that I can be.
As I look upon those warm eyes it makes me regroup,
and reassess my life to remember that this is
the U.S.A. and that we can be all that we strive
to be for we are in the land of free.
