I'd like to play a game today
it's already begun,
if we choose carefully our play
it indeed can be won.
But with an opponent such as hate
it will be a death race,
a shining trophy will await
if our heart's in the right place.
Where is the line you draw
between right and wrong,
when does hating become the law
of the land that we belong?
Our hearts must be the instrument
on which we play the game,
relying on the innocent
from where we all came.
I have to believe
that there's a greater power,
greater than the web we weave
that takes us to our darkest hour.
Until people all across the land
come together for love's sake,
not fist to fist but hand in hand
we can't win if this rule we break!
