Blue eyes
so intense
laugh with surprise
cold with indifference
No love have I ever known
tore through me so fair
the scars of a tornado overblown
leaving all in its wake bare
Like a fitful spirit which cannot rest
our moments together prowl and haunt
once stormy and obsessive, they patiently nest
ready to strike, waiting to taunt
Ahough 'tis only months which have passed
when I last tasted your kiss
the ache is of ages amassed
that have left my knickers in a twist
Looking back, I see that our's
was a risk I would never again take
a hunger which recklessly devours
leaving hidden shards in its wake
Despite there being another
our shadow still lingers low
the past and future blur together
this storm of passion will never again blow
Like satin to lace
time will echo of our love
whatever the time, people or place
blue eyes will I see in the skies above.
