To Have, One Must Give
It should go without saying one needs to share
of themselves and acceptance is the key
For if you truly love it is a necessity
On the surface all is well but within you
storms of past experiences rage provoking
doubts and heartache, nothing of worth
They tear on what you have built on
failure to trust becomes your train of
thought
A free spirit is only content when it is
free to be
Today we seem to incarcerate our own
To have, one must give of themselves
without doubts or second guessing
of this I am learning fast though
very much a "C" student
Today even an Apple won't win over
the circumstances I have created
and I am sorry
To have one must give all, another
lesson learned
from the book of LOVE
