END OF SUMMER

THEY SAY THAT WHEN  CRICKETS SING IN AUGUST
WE'LL HAVE AN EARLY FALL
WELL--THIS SUMMER THEIR NOISY CHORUS
WAS REALLY OFF THE WALL.

SURE ENOUGH--IT ALL CAME TRUE
THE FLOWERS ARE DYING
TREE LEAVES ARE TOO.
SO-- HAPPY AUTUMN TO ME AND YOU!
