The Kiss

The Kiss
Velvety moonlight softly shimmers
upon the deep blue lakes of your eyes.
Starlight glistens upon your lovely
disheveled softly scented auburn hair.
Your long red nails sparkle under the
warm light of the midnight sky and your
sharp white teeth flash brilliantly as
you arise from the darkness of my dreams
and lay that final fatal kiss of death
upon my trembling lips.
Donavon Scott Vinson

Kiss of Death
The kiss of death is that glorious immortal thing
that we all hope to receive from a lover's lips,
a lasting heart felt love that we can never forget.
The kiss of death is that marvelous shining gift
that touches the soul with wondrous warmth and emotion
making all things new as it turns over the colorful
leaves of the mortal mind with its soft cool breeze.
The kiss of death is love personified leaving us to
writhe in its mercy and grace forever as it fills our world
with the beautiful flames of passion, sensual joy and fiery desire
that we all so desperately crave to make our lives complete.
