Poor Tormented Soul
She was born within a family
Whose father had no goal
She lived a life of sadness
A poor tormented soul
She thought she was the problem
Her parents never cared
She felt she was a loser
She never heard of prayer
Her parents weren't religious
They felt it cramped their style
She never heard of Jesus
Or when He was a child
She never read the Bible
Or ever heard of hymns
She thought she was the devil
Because her name was Sin
So when she had the courage
To finally run away
She didn't have the money
To make it through the day
She thought of how her mother
Gave herself to men
She thought she'd sell her body
Her smile was all pretend
She walked the streets for hours
The air was brisk and cold
This precious little flower
This poor tormented soul
That's when a voice from heaven
Bellowed out her name
This is Christ your Savior
I too do feel your pain
Please listen to me closely
I have a plan for you
You're going to get to know me
There's something you must do
You're going to teach the children
How I saved your life
You'll tell them you're forgiven
Because I lived and died
And with the Holy Spirit
You'll know just where to go
They'll call you by your new name
A rich forgiven soul
