 Cloistered

So strict, so straightlaced, prim and proper.
Her only tune allowed, a metrical madrigal.
In pedagogy immersed, didactic malaproper.
Existing on sesame seed and flavored falafel

To keep herself so svelte, avoiding adipose.
Her skin kept softened by creamy caranda.
Never having felt ignominy of loam or loess,
Screen shut and sealed tightly on her veranda.

Well lettered, finishing school, then debutante,
Now sequestered in ivy covered university.
Too well schooled to ever stoop to dilettante.
Too well heeled to ever suffer adversity.

Chamomile her strongest drink, her greatest vice.
"Darned" is far and away her strongest word.
When she says it, she is so clear and concise,
Pedantically secure and phonetically assured.

Repertoire encompassing the entire panoply,
Her life laid out so simple and serene.
In morning, sitting with friends at quiet tea.
Afternoons spent so dainty and so clean.

Dressing so prim, she sallies forth for all to see.
And she is everything she ever wished to be...
