Promises of the Lord
Fear not for you have been saved,
No longer are you enslaved;
To sin that made you oppressed,
For by God you have been blessed.
The Lord has called you by name,
You are His no more with shame;
For the sins as in the past,
Into the sea they were cast.
When you are crossing the sea,
Certainly there He will be;
You will not be swept away,
By waves that have gone astray.
If you walk through the fire,
He helps as you require;
In quenching the burning flames,
By Satan if he proclaims.
He is the true Holy One,
Who had sent His only Son;
Ensuring the price was paid,
For the misdeeds we had made.
So no need for to be afraid,
God has heard you when you prayed;
And will always be with you.
For God is faithful and true.
