Mothers BlanketTo Grace Marie my lovely granddaughter who is 18 years old on the 15/8/10. I hope you like this honey, that is you a woman now. You have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful year, love always Nannie xxx Wrapped within the blanket of the womb Soon to venture out of that cocoon, Towards a pair of arms all soft with love, High above, our tiny frame glows pink Within the sheltered blanket of her arms Her charms, so warm and tender, render joy And as we grow to fill the room, no gloom Can touch our skin, akin to you a mothers Blanket wraps us tight, so night will never make us fear, a cosy comfort always near. Full of squishy love and tenderness Oh yes, a blanket is the only cloth We`ll ever need, so long as it comes From our seed, Indeed throughout our life The stratosphere can`t interfere We shan`t be cold, a story told This loving blanket holds the right To keep the heat and ban the night.
