Where Memories Dwell
of a time long ago of memories that never seem to fade where dreams were made of fantasy reality pushed aside as the mind traveled roads that were made of nightmares you live within the shadow world where memories dwell tears fall with no recourse when the terrors are awakened of lives shattered when delusions of the mind took command happiness become short lived when memory lane is visited you live within the shadow world where memories dwell wondering around you try to come to terms try to accept the past knowing they were necessary events needed to grow upon but the pain they caused is sometimes unbearable to remember you live within the shadow world where memories dwell wishing the pain was not necessary recognizing there was no control realizing past events could not be changed trying to accept what was yet the pain of what was done lives on to always remind you you live within the shadow world where memories dwell Vote for this poem
