Who among us is too proud
to admit that inside is a child,
waiting to get out and play
and live life the carefree way?
Life is too short to hide
leave your worries go outside,
catch lightning bugs in a jar
and go for a ride on a bike not in a car.
You're never too disabled or too old
to enjoy the little things i am told,
some things out of your reach sadly so
but you can appreciate others as they go.
So let the song of youth be heard
utter not a discouraging word,
and if you can't find fun in the lyric
maybe you're just a fuddy duddy critic.
If that is true
then i feel sorry for you,
i myself prefer thinking young can't hurt
so i can enjoy life till i'm put in the dirt!
