JUDGE NOT
Judging something at face value
is a trait that we all share
As humans, so imperfect
it's a sinful cross we bear
By speaking unkind words
and not seeking out what's true
by looking only with our eyes
our judgment will come through
Christ advised us “Do not judge…”
to “see the log in your own eye.”
Question your own motives then
before others you decry
If we would all but stop to listen
to ourselves before we speak
dig deeper in to find the truth
and the answers that we seek
the world would be much simpler
with less anger and less strife
just by wearing another's shoes
and imagining their life
Before you judge another man
or mete out any unjust fate
recall that you'll be dealt the same
hold your tongue lest it be too late

Matthew 7: 1 - 3
1. Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
