For fourteen years, Milt and me
Were happy as any couple could be
When we decided one day some years ago to part
The love for this man remained in my heart.
Milt would not take back the ring and said our love could never end
He is still my love and also my very best friend
He was always around to care for me
To my kids he was part of our family.
But soon after, Milt became ill and almost died
How could I live without him? I cried and I cried.
Parkinson's Disease had taken his strength away
He needs constant care, both night and day.
Recently he began to have problems with his eyes
Milt's an optometrist, so the diagnosis was no surprise.
He's still my Milt - - - - - -
I visit him often, we'll never part
Same sense of humor, brilliant mind and loving heart.
I'm his "pretty girl"
Yes, Milt is my king
And he always asks me
"Do you know what I love about you?"
His answer? "Everything."
