  October's Child

I Am, My Father's Seed

You'll look, but never see the real side of me
You say I am intriguing, but whom do you see?
My words tumble forth in somersaults of gold
A world forever mantled in make-believe bold
********

You'll find me scattered across sugar white sands
Grains in an hourglass; an image of silken strands
A pebble of many shapes twirling in the wind
Your romantic matinees; beginning without end
********

Sour apples will I gather upon your grassy knoll
I'm a faddish exaggeration within eternity's role
I am the Mona Lisa framed upon your wall
The fragrance of a fille; a sip of southern drawl
********

You'll never see them fall; the tears without a face
You wonder who I am; I wander thru your place
I'm your muse Erato; I created nature's creed
Blending beyond darkness; I am, my father's seed
