Angels In Waiting
This poem is a true story about one little Angel
That I was blessed to know a short while, this Angel
Taught me a lesson about love, that is embedded in my
Heart forever, I can Say with all honesty, I've held an Angel in my arms.
She was born to a troubled
Teenage mother, a biracial
Baby, that never knew her
Biological Father
Five short years, save
A few days, Brie had
Ventured here from heavens
Gates
Had she been sent to teach
lessons sorely needed?
I wonder how many were ever
Heeded?
Her eyes saw things no child's
Should ever see, her
Tiny ears heard unspeakable
Things
Yet Bries' trust in Jesus was
Abundantly clear, She prayed unashamed,
Loud and sincere as her heavenly Father
Stood ever so near
One sunny day, out of the
Blue, little Brie packed her
Bag as her mother looked on, in
Surprise
When questioned she quickly said,
I'm going to live with Jesus, it's
Time for me to go, I love you
Mommy, but I have to go
There was nothing more that Brie
Could do, to show her family the
Jesus she knew, The hills of Heaven
Began calling her name
Two weeks later in the ICU, as
Bries mommy clung to her with
Desperate pleads, Jesus walked Brie back
Through heavens gates
Why had she been sent, what lessons
Have We learned? I'm forever color
Blind, the Kingdom of Heaven can be
Felt in a child's embrace.
)) If Only We Could Love, Instead Of Hate ((
