Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Of all that I've been?

Born into a world where love called… unanswered
squandered each soft kiss goodnight
for the morning would bring forth a fearful surrender
to a sad world that knew of nothing but to fight
screams filled with rage would echo through the silence
nightmares filled each hour of the day
fire would rain down upon memories once treasured
till the softness born within me… went away
lost spirits would play host to each feeling of failure
laughter always cried out in pain
doors were slammed shut before they were opened
disappointment, just another word for the same
now memories fade while the world keeps on turning
solitude, the one place to find peace
for my eyes have seen much to question each sunrise
and to wonder of all that I've been?
