Apostles and disciples began a new crusade
They spread the love of Jesus; the sacrifices made
The good book of Ephesians describes how we began
We're children of our Savior; He came the Son of Man
I'm proud to be a Christian
I'm proud to live for Christ
My purpose of my mission
Is shining strong and bright
The news of our salvation
Will never go unheard
I'm proud to be a Christian
And spreading God's own word
He told us of His promise; how if we have the faith
His children are forgiven; they're saved by saving grace
To go out to the nations proclaiming this good news
It's good for all the people, be Gentiles or be Jews
I'm proud to be a Christian
