MADNESS OF CUSTOMERS

MADNESS OF CUSTOMERS

Patiently waiting on customers.
Listening to drivel, dribbling out of puerile
Mouths. Wondering, what they are saying.
Trying to make sense:-  out of  utter nonsense.

Spending the majority of work-time, lifetime,
Listening, agreeing, pricing.
An endless charade of drivel, from me
As I pay obeisance to their garbage.
Every day wasted in being utterly polite.

Wondering all the while under that polite exterior
If I garrotte him, her, perhaps, maybe, certainly,
I shall get away with it, that's when you realise
Their drivel, dribbling is driving you insane.
Your normal insanity rising up to greet their madness

Have to go somewhere, anywhere.
That impatience is not tolerated
The moon seems good, might be
Far enough away to escape man-kinds drivelling
