For Debbie and Bradley
I put this poem up on the message board on the morning of August 24th,2010
and now I'm re-posting August 24, 2011.
For Debbie and Bradley:
"A Spiritual Account for Today and Always"
Of life and times imagine
without walking same path we fall short
To have and hold our very own
we discover genuine love of sort
This pureness instilled unselfish
sacrifice for a child? We'd surely die
To defend a pure life-force
far too painful to bid goodbye
To a child gone from our site
such grief no greater had!
Fragile….we know our world
there comes such times of sad
Within wondrous circle
each to touch unto others we give
In-between birth and death
for our journey's to love and live
In the sounding of hearts
‘tis a most safe and peaceful place
Enlightened by memories
for each holds this sacred space
Within eternity's plan and purpose
His comfort's always ours
Humble thyself ask for strength….
and reap His wondrous powers!
Yes we all stroll along this journey
guided by divine
Inherent in soul the Great I Am
calls each in perfect time
That we shall cross to eternity
no reason to be afraid
By faith alone accept a ransom
by One's life for us He laid
Listen carefully His character
wouldn't take or displace
‘Tis part of human encounters
in a world in need of His grace
Loved ones pass, but His gift of likeness?
We too find ability to love...
A gift that's beautiful
as commissioned from Him above
Hold onto memories sweet
find that quiet-calm and beyond!
For inside memories live
and so he's never truly gone
